Alcohol-Free Perfumes & Attars
Every fragrance Belloris makes is oil-based and alcohol free. That matters for two reasons: alcohol is what dries and irritates sensitive skin, and it is what makes a scent bloom loudly and then vanish by lunchtime. An oil sits close to the skin and releases slowly through the day.
How to choose
Why oil instead of spirit
Alcohol carries a fragrance into the air quickly, which is why a spray is loud for an hour and gone by afternoon. An attar is the fragrance oil itself — it warms with your skin and keeps releasing.
Kinder on sensitive skin
Alcohol strips oil from the skin's surface, which is what causes the sting some people feel from a spray. If perfume has ever irritated your wrists or neck, an oil is worth trying.
Suitable for prayer
Because there is no alcohol in the formula, these are used by customers who avoid alcohol-based perfume for religious reasons.
A little goes further
One dab at each wrist and one at the neck is the whole application. A 6 ml roll-on lasts most people several weeks.
Common questions
Are Belloris fragrances really alcohol free?
Yes — every attar and perfume oil we sell is oil-based with no alcohol in the formula.
Will an alcohol-free attar last as long as a spray perfume?
It behaves differently. A spray projects further in the first hour; an oil stays closer to the skin but keeps releasing for much longer. Most customers find the oil is still detectable when the spray has gone.
How do I apply an attar?
Roll or dab a small amount on the pulse points — inside the wrists and the sides of the neck. Do not rub the wrists together; it crushes the top notes.
